In order to standardise our uniform this September we will be introducing regulation school skirts and trousers with the school logo on which will be available from the school outfitters. All students in our current Year 7-9 will be supplied with one skirt or one pair of trousers by the school. The Year 7 students will be having fittings in the next 2 weeks and are expected to come to school in September in their new skirt/trousers. The current Years 8 and 9 will be having fittings on our return in September and will be issued with a skirt or trousers by October. If you were going to buy a new skirt/trousers over the summer you will be able to do so from the outfitters (prices are available on their websites: http://www.jkclothing.net/ http://www.whitehallclothiers.co.uk/), but you will still be entitled to one skirt or pair of trousers from the school.
The new items are optional for the current Year 10 (going into Year 11) only. However parents are reminded that students will be expected to wear the correct A-line, knee length skirt or tailored trousers. Any students wearing incorrect skirts or trousers will be sent home to change.
As we no longer have a house system, the coloured stripes on the ties will now indicate which year group a student is in, apart from next Year’s Year 11 who will have a different design.
From September 2017
Year 7 – purple
Year 8 – red
Year 9 – yellow
Year 10 – blue
Year 11 – special design
If your child does not have the correct colour for their year group they will be provided with a new tie at the start of next term. The whole of Year 11 will also be given their new ties by the school.
Thank you for your support with this.
