Visit from Simon Mole

14th June 2019

On Wednesday 12th June, the poet Simon Mole visited Maze Hill. He started the day with a poetry assembly for Year 7 who were able to hear some brilliant poems featuring bikes, Pac Man and bad haircuts. Year 7 also had the opportunity to give their views on poems that Simon is currently working on. Throughout the day Simon ran poetry workshops in the library with the students from Years 7, 8 and 9. The students produced some amazing pieces of work featuring a wonderful array of topics from the Donkey from Shrek to Lemon sherbets, to Maths lessons and puppies. It was brilliant day for all involved, and the students have been asking if Simon will come back for another visit.
