World Book Day- Philip Womack Visit8th March 2019
On Tuesday 5th March, we had a visit from our Patron of Reading, Philip Womack., as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Philip ran creative writing workshops for selected students in Years 7, 8 and 9. The students were challenged write their own quest stories. We had an amazing array of stories being written throughout the day including: advanced bananas, sand-throwing kings, searching for the Crown Jewels on Mars, and hunting for the best discounts on Black Friday
It was a fantastic day and we’re very impressed with the work that was produced by the students. We’re looking forward to Philip’s final visit during the summer term.
