Library Event - 100th Anniversary of the Armistice

8th November 2018

Dear All,
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice and the Old John Roan Boys who were killed during the First World War, the students in the libraries have made a poppy for each former student who was killed. Once all the poppies were made, they were then turned into wreaths.

To accompany this some of the students have been researching the former students who were killed and have found some fascinating stories such as Cecil H. Sewell, who was awarded the Victoria Cross.
